TECH PREP ARTICULATED CREDIT DUAL CREDIT EARLY ADMISSION CHALLENGE EXAMS ADVANCED PLACEMENT CLEP TESTS
Need an 85 or higher on high school course to receive college credit. Both academic and technical or career education classes. Takes place in high school. Part-time high school student, part-time college student. Designed for students with prior mastery of knowledge and skills. Test subjects cover many academic courses. College Level Examination Program.
Only for technical or career education courses. Earn up to 15 college credit hours. Taught by an instructor qualified to teach high school and college. High school classes taken at high school. Student must complete tests before registering for college. Usually need to take 1 or 2 semesters in high school to learn subject matter. Student must complete tests before registering for college.
No end-of-course examination. Transfers to participating colleges and universities. Credit for high school and college class simultaneously. College classes taken at college or university. A course can be challenged only once, so students must be prepared. Take national test in May on subject material. Test subjects cover many academic courses.
Credit is automatically posted on college transcript at end of 1st semester. Credit given after 1st college semester. College-level curriculum. Student is responsible for college tuition, books and other costs. Need a "C" or better on test to receive college credit.
